Review: ReVamped By: Ada Adams

Title: ReVamped (Angel Creek #1)
Author: Ada Adams
Published:  Feburuary 20th, 2012
My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Goodreads Summary:

A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a funny and fun way to read about vampires with a different twist put on it. Vampire's have come out to humans and have let them know they exist. Because of all the books and movies and humans overall fasination with vampires they are like celebrities to them having their own reality shows and movie careers. I really liked this aspect of the book because it made me think that if vampire's did really exist in the real world that is exactly what it really would be like if humans knew about them. I also was really excited to read about a strong and tough vampire girl, because in most vampire books the girl is the human while the vampire is a guy who is brooding and tough and for once that wasn't the case.

Dawn was a really awesome main character, she knew how to fight and was tough and fun. The book had humor, a love triangle, and action all througout the story which made it so much fun to read. Getting to know all the vampire's in Angel Creek and watching them go to zeroes to heroes. Their was so many fun characters to chose from and each one was memorable and funny in their own way.
The "love" triangle I loved because it didn't fill the entire book and take over everything it was just another added fun aspect of the book. With Dawn having to chose between Sebastian the brooding bad boy vampire and Ethan the gorgeous and seemingly perfect human.  I loved them both and how opposite they both seemed, making a decision on who I liked more was something I couldn't do at all lol.

I liked that it was a heavy and serious book filled with vampire and human romance, It was a light and quick read for me but, I enjoyed the whole story and I can wait to find out  what happens next to the Angel Creek residents.

Happy Reading!
