Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week's list is Top Ten Books to get you into the Halloween Spirit.
Ok, so I will admit so of you many know that I am not into scary at all, I hate being scared and I don't tend to read or watch any horror movies or read many books that involve it but, I will do my best to put books that I thought were creepy or one's I have on TBR list that I think are creepy Enjoy!
Happy Reading!
Kristin
1. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #1) By: Michelle Hodkin.
I just finished reading this one as a read-a-long pick with Book Twirps this month, and I absolutely loved it. I haven't posted my review yet because I wanted to wait until our read-a-long was over and plus I didn't just want to have a review full of my fangirling about how much I am in love with this book but, I am. Noah has become one of my new favorite book boys and I= this book had just the right amount of creep factor for me.
2. The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #2) By: Michelle Hodkin
Ok, so technically I haven't got to read this one yet but, from the reviews of have read Hodkin keeps up with the creepiness of the first and I have it one preorder and as soon as I get my hands on this one I will be reading it!
3. Anna Dressed In Blood (Anna #1) By: Kendare Blake
I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this book because like I said I don't like scary but, I loved this book. It had a definite horror aspect to it and ghosts. Definitely a great book for Halloween.
4. The Unquiet By: Jeanine Garsey
This book definitely gave me the creeps, a ghost story to the core, it definitely kept me up at night after reading it.
5. Something Strange and Deadly By: Susan Dennard
This book doesn't really have as much as a creep factor as some of the other books do but, it does have zombies which get me into a Halloween mood.
6. I Know What You Did Last Summer By: Lois Duncan
I know most people have probably seen the movie but, when I was younger and my parents would take me to the bookstore they would buy me a few books and I would finish reading them in one day. After doing this for a few months, they then told me that I would now have to check out books from the library because they couldn't afford to buy me books so fast lol. When I started going to the library was when I discovered Lois Duncan. I read every book of her's that I could get my hands on. This one really scared me when I was younger. Many of her books were mysteries and suspenseful books that had a scary vibe. Granted I haven't read many of them in probably ten years but, many scared the heck out of me.
7. The Replacement By: Brenna Yovanoff
I have not read this one yet I just got an arc of it from arcycling but, it definitely has a creepy vibe to it and I will hopefully be reading it next week, and I think it will get me into the Halloween spirit for sure!
8. The Tell-Tale Heart By: Edgar Allen Poe
I don't think any Halloween reading list would be complete without Edgar Allen Poe!
9. Amber House By: Larkin Reed, Tucker Reed, and Kelly Moore
I loved this book, a gothic type mystery with ghost, it was definitely creepy at times!
love the Unquiet!
