Title: The Thousand
Dollar Tan Line (Veronica Mars #1)
Author: Rob Thomas
and Jennifer Graham
Published: March 25th,
2014
Source: Bought
My Rating: 4.5 out of
5 stars
Goodreads Summary:
The first book in an original
mystery series featuring twenty-eight-year-old Veronica Mars, back in action
after the events of Veronica Mars: The Movie. With the help of old friends—Logan Echolls, Mac Mackenzie,
Wallace Fennel, and even Dick Casablancas—Veronica is ready to take on
Neptune’s darkest cases with her trademark sass and smarts.
My Thoughts:
I love anything and everything Veronica Mars, I
am a faithful kickstarter backer and I could not wait for this book to be
released. I have to say I was super happy with this one and I couldn’t give it
5 stars only because I needed me some more Logan but, everything else was
absolutely perfect. The mystery was just like the show, each character came
alive off the page just like on TV, I can’t wait to read the next book.
The plot picks up right where
the movie ends, I don’t want to give much away because it’s a completely new
and great mystery just like we know and love from the show, and its spring
break and Neptune, California is invaded by partying college students. When a
girl goes missing Veronica is enlisted to find her and it is
I don’t want my review to
turn someone off who hasn’t seen the TV show before, if you enjoy a great
mystery then I definitely recommend it for you. The characters are from the
show but, they do a great job of introducing them enough for someone who has
never seen the show to be able to get into it. If you have seen the series,
they don’t over explain any of the characters so it doesn’t bore you. But, so
many of your favorites are definitely in there and it made me so happy to get
to read about each and every one.
Overall, for mystery and
Veronica Mars fans alike this book was amazing! I was excited to see another
email from Kickstarter and Rob Thomas letting the fans know that there will
definitely be some more Logan in the next book, I can’t wait!
Well, is it weird that this is the first time that I hear about Veronica Mars?
ReplyDeleteBut it definitely sounds interesting enough
