My Thoughts:
I was really
excited to read Strangelets, I read Michelle debut last year Don't Turn Around
and it was a great thriller, and I was hoping that this book would be just as
good. Strangelets had me on the edge of my seat, you didn't find everything out
right away, you were just as confused as the characters. Each character came
from a different place and had me wondering what was going on, who were these
teenagers and what did they all have in common.
When all
three of these teenagers wake up in a
strange room, they have no idea how they got here just that they were all
facing death and now they are here, in a strange and desolate world of Long
Island. I don't want to give much away in the summary of this book because you
have to read it to enjoy it and I don't want to spoil it.
Each
character gave me something to want to know about them, how did they end up
here and I wanted to know more about
their pasts, we only got a glimpse of them before they woke up in the different
and strange world. They each had distinct and different personalities and I
loved how diverse each one was, from a different part of the world.
Overall,
this book was a great read but I was a little disappointed only because I was hoping
for a bit more action, there was of
course action and suspense but, for some reason I wanted more but, Gagnon definitely didn't disappoint!
