Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this week's topic is Top Ten Popular  Authors I have never read, Enjoy!

1. Sarah Dessen

I know that she is so popular in contemporary but, I am not a contemp fan usually so I just haven't wanted to read any of her books although I hope eventually I am going to change that.

2. Meg Cabot

I have seen all of the movies but, for some reason I just have never gotten around to reading any of her books!

3. Tamora Pierce

When NPR released the voted top 100 YA Books of all time, two of her series were on it and I know a lot of people who love her books and I am a fantasy fan so I hope to read some of her books soon!

4. Marie Lu

I love dystopian so I don't know why I haven't read this trilogy yet but, now since all of the books are out I really should get to reading it I have the first book!

5. Phillip Pullman

I have never been interested in his series, I don't know why I know it was made into a movie or anything.

 6. James Dashner

I have been wanting to read his series especially with the movie that is being made and  I have heard good things about it!

7. Colleen Hoover

I have heard some great things about her books but, I haven't gotten around to reading them myself yet.

  3. Seeing James Dasher around a lot! Never read him either.

Sarah Dessen, I actually read 4 or 5 of her books during my "dark days" period. A time when I was a teenager and there was no such thing as Paranormal YA. Had to read something, so I found her books and I liked them. Even though I was craving paranormal at the time.

And ooh if you're looking to read Meg Cabot try her Mediator series. It's her "lesser" known one as it didn't get made into a movie. But it was one I read years ago when she had to write it under a pen name and OMG it was awesome! It was a series that "saved" me when, as I said, there was hardly any paranormal YA to be read. This was a series that fit the bill and I ate it up!! So naturally my editions of these books don't match at all, books 1-4 are all under Jenny Carroll and have one look to them. Haunted came out sometime later and she then used her Meg Cabot name and it had an entirely different look. This was before I knew Jenny and Meg were one and the same, because when I picked up Haunted, thinking it was something else entirely, but still intriguing with its original cover, I didn't get through but a few sentences in the description before doing a happy dance in Borders! And book 6 had yet another cover look to it, but I knew right away it was my series.

Sorry for the long winded response! I get nostalgic at times with my beginning paranormal reads! But yes, if you find time to try a Meg Cabot book, go with her Mediator series! It's incredible!

  4. I haven't read Legend either! I really need to though. I really love Sarah Dessen's books, but one contemporary author I loved even more than her was Huntely Fitzpatrick - her book was phenomenal.
