My Thoughts:
I received this book from the
publisher in exchange for review.
I am super
excited to say that I loved Goddess
Interrupted so much more then Goddess Test, although I loved both, Goddess
Interrupted was even better, which doesn't always happen in a series for some
reason it seems like the second book in a series is never really as good as the
first or the last but, it definitely
wasn't true for this series.
Ok, so I
might be going on a tad bit of rant here
so prepare yourselves. Kate and Henry's relationship is probably one of the
most frustrating relationships I have ever read about. So many of the problems
they experience throughout this book would have been solved if one of them had
just talked to the other one instead of just assuming everything. I was
sometimes yelling at the both of them in my head saying just talk to each
other! It might just be the type of person that I am. I am a talker if we have
a fight or a problem I want to talk about and work things out, I don't want
to guess at how you are feeling or what
is going on I want to know. If I had been in Kate or Henry's situation I would
have just asked to have a talk, instead Kate kept wondering does he love me,
has things changed, why is he being like this? talking to everyone else about
Henry except for Henry. Ok, end of rant
I really
enjoyed how much more action there was in this book, Kate was determined to get
Henry back and she had to find the one person who she has been trying to
separate herself from the whole entire series, Persephone. I really felt for
her having to suck it up and deal with the fact that the one person who has
overshadowed your relationship with your husband is the only person who can
help you, how frustrating would that be. I would not have wanted to go and ask
for her help, especially considering everything that happened between her and
Henry, would she even care or want to help them at all. She had to be the
bigger person and take the chance and I admired her for that because I don't
know if I could have been that kind of a person in that situation.
I have to
admit I was excited to find out more about Persephone and see how her and Kate interacted, a cat
fight maybe? You spent so much time in the first book hearing about her and how
horrible she was to Henry, how much he loved her and that Kate was never going
to be able to measure up to her in Henry's eyes. She wasn't the evil girl I was
expecting, ok maybe just a little evil but, not really because she was trying
to help lol.
The ending
OMG, I hate the cliff hangers yet I love them because it gives you that
incentive and push to read the next book and the ending of this one leaves you
with a huge one. I am dying to find out what happens next and I really hope
that Henry and Kate get to have the relationship that they have been wanting to
have, it feels like in each book once they finally talk to each o there and
work things out, another obstacle gets in their way and they lose all the
ground that they just battle through to get to each other. They both deserve a
little happiness with each other and I really hope that they get it.
Overall,
this book was amazing and I loved every single second of it. I couldn't put it
down and I finished in one day. I recommend this one to anyone who enjoyed The
Goddess Test, and even if you didn't love the first book give this one a try
because it was even better then the first!
Happy
Reading!
