Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, this week's topic is Goals and Resolutions for 2014 bookish or not bookish.
1. Do more discussion posts
I talked a bit about this in my 2014 post but, I already have a list of ideas for topics and I hope to do one post a week or maybe more depending on my reviewing schedule.
2. Complete my Goodreads Challenge
At the end of 2013 I had almost no time to read and I didn't complete my challenge which really disappointed me because I did so well in 2012 but, hopefully I will this year 115 books is my goal.
3. Finish the series that have all of the books released
I have so many series that I have started that I can now finally finish that I still haven't.
4. Be on Twitter more
I do tweet but not too much, I need more friends to chat with so give me some shout outs!
5. Work on my reviews
I think that my reviews sometimes can use some work, I feel like I am not writing enough or giving my readers a good idea of the book and why they should read it.
6. Network
I need more bloggy friends, I don't have many friends that read and my BF gets tired of hearing my obsess about books and tell him how amazing they are so I need people that I can express my love to!
7. Go to more Author signings
My local indie does tons of signings and I don't get to as many as I want to, I hope to make a better effort to clear my schedule to attend.
8. Request less from Netgalley and Edelweiss
I always want to read all of the books and I feel like I need to be more picky but, I am auto approved for some of my favorite publishers and it's so hard to not want to read all of them.
9. Participate in Readathons
Readathons are a great way to interact with people reading the same book or series as you and hopefully get through some books I haven't had a chance to read yet.
10. Read more from TBR List!
Great goals! I need to do the series one, too. I'm in the middle of so many great ones and if I wait too long between reading the various installments, I get lost and have to start over so I remember who's who and what's what. Hate that!
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals is to be on twitter more often too. I used to just post links to blog posts but now I want to post other random nonsense =D Best of luck with all of your goals!

Oh very nice list! Kind of envious that you have "attend more author signings" I wish I could do that. But sadly, my city is the unvisited city on publishers' list. The one and only signing I was about to attend late last year was cancelled. And then I found this out a few hours too late to meet the authors at an impromptu hangout. I was checking my email just before I was about to leave for the signing and that was cancelled and I already knew I missed the authors, so I was pretty bummed out that day.
ReplyDeleteI too struggle with twitter myself. I am good about the occasional tweet--although I am still new to it. But I am really bad about checking out other people's tweets. Need to figure out if I can get an alert signal about that or something just so I can know what others are saying as I see quite a few people retweet or comment about my tweets.
Oh how I wish I could have an Edelweiss or Netgalley problem. Sadly, Edelweiss likes to deny my requests instead of approve. Netgalley approves me more, but they rarely have books I want to read. As much as I love discovering new authors, I am trying to be a bit more "pickier" with my selecting as I do have quite the TBR mountain and in it are still a few new to me authors!
Good luck with all your resolutions! And sorry for the really long comment! Kudos points to you for reading it all! ;)
Here's my Tuesday post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Great list! I have a lot of the same ones. I need to be more active with reviewing and get my TBR list under control.

Good list!
ReplyDeleteI have such a long TBR list that I don't think I will ever get around to reading all of them!
