Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie
adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?
The book that I would be most nervous about turning into a movie is The Mortal Instruments, I love this series and I think book to movie adaptations bring more readers to a series and if the movie sucks, then people assume that the books do too, if they haven't already read them.

The Mortal Instruments series does sound like a hard one to make into a movie! You make a good point about people thinking that if a movie sucks, then the book does too. I never quite considered that.

I picked the same book! I'm excited for the movie, but I'm still really unsure about how well they're going to adapt it. I'm a new follower by the way! Follow me back at best-of-ya.blogspot.com :)

Hi Kristin,
ReplyDeleteGood choice. I have heard a lot about Ms. Clare's series and from what I understand it would indeed be difficult to pull off on the big screen. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and following. I am returning the favor and look forward to seeing you in the future. :)
